See You Next Thursday

So I’m going to New York tonight, Puerto Rico tomorrow morning and won’t be coming back to London until next Wednesday but I’m really not around until Thursday. In an email to one of my London contacts I explained this situation and ended with ‘See you next Thursday’. He found that quite amusing. Apparently ‘See you next Thursday’ is an off-handed way of calling someone a bad word. Which word? Well, without spelling it out for you totally, you can replace ‘See you’ with ‘C U’.

Have you guys heard of this before? I think this is the last profanity in the world I didn’t know.
